Here’s 100 years of the Best Black Dandyism Heading Into Met Gala 2025

Rapper Sir Mix-a-Lot is set to perform with a symphony orchestra—the Seattle Symphony, to be precise—for a classical rendition of “Baby Got Back,” UPI reports.

The piece was put together by composer and DJ Gabriel Prokofiev (he is the grandson of the renowned Sergei Prokofiev), who wrote the unusual piece for the symphony.

“[Sir Mix-a-Lot] is a ’90s rapper, he’s quite humorous and a fun guy,” Prokofiev told The Quietus. “I’m orchestrating two of his most famous hits, and he’s actually going to rap on stage with the orchestra.

“He’s got this rap persona, but in reality, he’s the softest,” he added.
