With the release of the new documentary “The Honorable Shyne,” the once-up-and-coming Belizean rapper is now sharing his story with anyone who will listen.

During a recent interview with “The Breakfast Club,” Shyne Barrow shared some new details about the man who helped him achieve some level of success in the music industry, Sean “Diddy” Combs, including a time when he spat in the hip-hop mogul’s face.

During the interview, he said, “He came to see me once, and I tried to spit in his face. I didn’t even know he was coming to see me. They just brought me down in the lawyer’s office,” referencing a time when he visited Puff just three years after he was released from prison in 2012.

He continued, “I got out in 2009. There wasn’t an attempt at reconciliation until 2012, when I went to Paris to meet him. I was still in a place of, he owes me his life. He’s a billionaire. If it wasn’t for me, he wouldn’t have been a billionaire. If I would have cooperated with the district attorney, he’d have went to jail, and heaven knows what would have happened to his career. So that’s worth at least a couple million dollars out of the billion that you’re worth.”

The Belizean politician later added that Diddy essentially paid him a reward for serving his prison sentence, saying, “He probably gave me like 50 racks and I’m like, ‘You can’t be serious.’ That’s ten years? Fifty racks?’”

Barrow is likely referencing when the two met during the 2012 Paris Fashion Week.

At the time, he told XXL in a statement, “You can’t overstate the cultural significance of what Shyne and Diddy reconciling means. You know I’m about it when it comes to them hammers, thus, unfortunately, this could have ended like Tupac and B.I.G. But what if Tupac and B.I.G ended like this and reconciled?”

He continued, “Let’s celebrate this moment as a historical event and a victory for hip-hop and Afro and Latin American men trained to exterminate each other.”

This is a far cry from the attitude he appeared to have when recalling the story to Charlamagne tha God and DJ Envy.

Recently, Diddy has responded to the several claims Barrow has made while the mogul has sat in jail. In a statement to TMZ, a rep for Puff said, “Mr. Combs categorically denies Mr. Barrow’s allegations, including any suggestion that he orchestrated Mr. Barrow to ‘take the fall’ or ‘sacrificed’ him by directing witnesses to testify against him. These claims are unequivocally false.”

We’ll see if Barrow continues to share his side of the story despite Diddy shooting down any claims relating to him.
