Who needs The View when you have Broadway? During Tuesday’s episode of the long-running talk show, Sherri Shepherd, who is set to exit the show, announced that she’s heading to Broadway’s Cinderella. Shepherd will play Cinderella’s evil stepmother, Madame. On Monday it was announced that Keke Palmer will also be making her Broadway debut as Cinderella. Shepherd made the announcement after pulling out a glass slipper.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Aug. 8 will be Shepherd’s last day on The View.

Both Palmer and Shepherd will make their debut on Sept. 9, becoming the first black women to portray the roles in a Broadway production.
