Who’s the mommy? Well, according to a Pennsylvania judge, actress Sherri Shepherd is officially listed as the mother of the child born via a surrogate. Lamar Sally, Shepherd’s estranged husband, and the former talk show host have been battling it out in court over the last year to determine who should be listed as the child’s mother on the birth certificate.
According to Shepherd, she was tricked into agreeing to have a baby via surrogate and Sally was only in the marriage for the money. In a statement to TMZ, Sally says he’s happy about the ruling. “I want her to go on television and apologize the same way that she went on there and accused me of being a gold digger and tricking her into having a baby,” Sally stated.
Shepherd, who didn’t bother showing up for the court hearing, will now have to deal with Sally’s request for child support in a Los Angeles court. Now that her name is officially on the birth certificate, Sally will have to officially seek it, since he’s been receiving state aid for the child.
