Rapper Finesse2Tymes had a busy weekend, and not in the way he likely wanted. In the span of a few days, the Memphis MC was accused of being involved in two unrelated legal instances.
On Friday, it was reported by TMZ that Finesse2Tymes, born Ricky Hampton, had a warrant out for his arrest after it was alleged that he made terroristic threats against a woman who was connected to his rap protégé, King, with whom he recently had a falling out.
In court records, it’s alleged that in October 2024, local authorities were called to a neighborhood in Humble, Texas after the rapper and his brother threatened a woman outside a smoke shop.
On the day of the incident, King and this mystery woman stopped by a smoke shop to pick up her grandchild, who she was meant to babysit. King was then instructed to go inside to speak to Finesse2Tymes. After a few minutes, King was seen running outside the smoke shop, screaming to the woman in the car, “They trying to send me back to Memphis!”
Despite her telling Finesse to stay away from her vehicle, she claims he approached her car with his brother, who threatened to “up that fire.” The rapper himself allegedly then made a threat, yelling, “You gonna die on camera today!”
The woman then drove away from the scene before he could say or do anything else.
Atlanta Driver left for dead
On Saturday, Finesse2Tymes’ driver, Ernest Flores, filed a lawsuit against the rapper, claiming that he left him for dead after a shootout at an Atlanta nightclub, according to TMZ.
Flores alleges that in June 2023, he was hired by the rapper to be his driver to an after-party during Birthday Bash ATL, a weekend music event.
While Finesse2Tymes was onstage, a shootout occurred, which resulted in five people being wounded, including Flores, who survived a shot to the head.
He claims that the Memphis MC did not provide enough security to control the crowd and is suing him for emotional trauma and the expensive medical bills he accrued due to his injuries.
