Leave it to Beyoncé to debut an eleventh-hour drop—though this time, it wasn’t a surprise single. Instead, the Queen gave a last-minute endorsement to Democratic Senate candidate Beto O’Rourke, who’s challenging Republican Senator Ted Cruz today in the midterms in her home state of Texas where, according to The Cut, she is notably still registered to vote.

We don’t know if Bey mailed in an absentee ballot, but paralleling Rihanna’s endorsement of Florida gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum on Monday, we do know who she’s stumping for this election, as Beyoncé posted several photos and a montage of herself wearing a “Beto for Senate” cap on her Instagram page.

Captioning the post, she wrote:

I’m feeling grateful for everyone before me who fought so hard to give us all the right to have a voice. We can’t voice our frustrations and complain about what’s wrong without voting and exercising our power to make it right. We need you. We all need each other, because when we are truly united we are unstoppable. Sending you all love and positivity on this happy voting day! Every vote counts. Every race matters. Everywhere.

We couldn’t agree more. And though we kinda wish Bey had made her allegiance public when there were more hours before the polls closed, if it got the Hive out to vote in these historic midterms, we’re decidedly with it.

By all appearances, the Hive is with it too, since they’ve already nicknamed the political alliance #Beyto.
