Shaquille O'Neal is slamming a former employee who filed suit against him for hacking into his computer. Shawn Darling, who worked as a personal computer consultant for O'Neal from 2007 to 2009, filed a suit against the Boston Celtics center for intentional infliction of emotional distress, invasion of privacy and civil RICO (a racketeering charge) on Aug. 3 in Miami-Dade County, Fla. Darling claims that O'Neal hacked into his voice mails and those belonging to an alleged mistress because Darling had proof that O'Neal cheated on his wife with other women. The suit also claims that O'Neal used law-enforcement contacts to frame Darling for criminal offenses, including possessing child porn, and destroyed evidence he held relating to O'Neal's alleged extramarital affairs. O'Neal says Darling, an ex-con, tried to extort $12 million from him by threatening to expose his personal communications and e-mails. This situation has more twists and turns than a season of As the World Turns. We bet O'Neal wishes he'd vetted Darling more before hiring him.
