Last week O’Neal applied to be a reserve police officer for the city of Doral. He will be treated like any other applicant, a city spokeswoman said. “If he passes, he will then have to do everything else to be certified by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, just like any of our other officers, reserve or not reserve,” Christina Baguer said.

This wouldn’t be O’Neal’s first time donning a badge. In 2005 he worked as a Miami Beach reserve police officer, making a whopping $1 a year. Who knows? Maybe he’ll do better handing out tickets than making free throws.
