Hip-hop singer Sean Kingston was hospitalized this weekend after crashing a personal watercraft into a Miami Beach bridge.
Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission spokesman Jorge Pino says that Kingston and a female passenger were injured when the watercraft hit the Palm Island Bridge around 6 p.m. Sunday, the Huffington Post reports. Pino says both were hospitalized early Monday at Ryder Trauma Center. The Miami Herald reports that a passing boater saw the accident and took the two on board his vessel.
Kingston was reported to be in critical condition on Sunday, but a representative for his label, Epic Records, confirmed early Monday that he had been in a crash and "was now stabilized." Pino says authorities are investigating the crash, and "nothing at this point would indicate that alcohol played a role."
