If you thought the BP oil debacle couldn't get any worse, brace yourself. A government panel of scientists provided a new estimate for the amount of oil gushing from the ruptured well in the Gulf of Mexico that indicates it could be leaking between 1.47 to 2.52 million gallons of crude a day. These figures are more in line with what independent scientists have predicted. We're sure this is just what President Obama wanted to hear just before his press conference explaining how the Gulf Coast is going to be better than it was before the oil spill. To that we say, "Not bloody likely!"
