As paranoid folks the world over shake in their boots, scientists are shaking their heads. Can we blame the paranoid folks for being freaked out about a bunch of dead birds falling from the sky (first in Arkansas, then Louisiana, and now in Italy) and fish kills from coast to coast? It's rather creepy.
Also rather normal, scientists say. One told the New York Daily News that dropping dead from the sky en masse is "one of the prevalent ways birds die in the U.S." It's just that with social media and blogs, news travels and gets overblown a lot faster these days. Can we all breathe a sigh of relief that dead blackbirds and fish are not signaling End of Days?
