Police in Charleston, S.C., are investigating several vandalism cases that took place over the weekend, including the vandalism of the library that was dedicated to Cynthia Hurd, one of nine people murdered in the shooting at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church carried out by white supremacist Dylann Roof in 2015.

Sometimes victims cannot rest, even in death, it seems.

Officers responded to a call at the Cynthia Graham Hurd St. Andrews Library on Friday, referencing profanity and racial slurs painted across the building and on the walkway. The messages included, “GO to HELL Black Women, FUCK Crackers, FUCK da Police,” the Charleston City Paper reports.

Earlier that day, police had also responded to calls from the W.L. Stephens Aquatic Center, where they found profanity and racial slurs painted on a rear storage area and the basketball court, including, “Fuck Yall White Devil,” “No Crackers Allowed” and “All White Men are Faggots LOL.”

“Full Yall Wet Backs and Spics” was also painted across the basketball court. In addition, a mechanical building on park property was vandalized with the words, “Don’t Date White Women Niggas.”
