President Barack Obama clocked in some serious dad time with Sasha and Malia over the Thanksgiving holiday.

The trio spent the day shopping on small business Saturday. During the annual event designed to promote holiday shopping at small businesses they shopped at Upshur Street Books in northwest Washington, the president tweeted.

They bought nine books, including three young-adult novels by Cynthia Voigt, Purity: A Novel by Jonathan Franzen, Two Years Eight Months and Twenty-Eight Nights: A Novel by Salman Rushdie, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Hard Luck, Book 8 by Jeff Kinney, and Dork Diaries 1: Tales from a Not-So-Fabulous Life by Rachel Renée Russell, according to Reuters.

Later, they dropped by Pleasant Pops cafe, where they ordered ice pops. The post-Thanksgiving #SmallBusinessSaturday outing is an annual tradition for the first family. American Express created the day in 2010 to inspire people to shop at small businesses.

It was the trio’s second appearance together in as many days. On Wednesday, the first daughters appeared alongside their father in the Rose Garden at the White House for the annual turkey pardon, where they actually laughed at their father’s jokes. How cute is that?
