Alderwoman Sandi Jackson sat down to chat with the Chicago Sun-Times' Michael Sneed about the affair. Sandi discussed the anguish over learning of her husband's affair two years ago. Jesse came to her and informed her of his relationship with Giovana Huidobro. They decided to salvage the marriage and went through intense marital and spiritual counseling. Her anguish doesn't come from learning of the affair but from experiencing it all over again in the public eye. She told Sneed, "You know, when the Clintons ran into marital trouble, I thought Hillary should leave Bill," she said. "I couldn't stand what Tiger Woods did and how his wife had to suffer publicly. But when the 'beast' lands at your door, it can be a very, very different experience. No one really knows what they are going to do until they are in that situation. When it happens to you it's amazing how what you once thought was black and white becomes variations of a color called gray." That's one way to look at it. It is adultery and appears to be a common part of political culture. One could argue that when you sign up for a life in politics, you sign up for mistresses and the like. What do you think?
