In a surprise treat just days before the release of the highly anticipated Disney flick A Wrinkle in Time, producer No I.D. released Sade’s new single from the film, “Flower of the Universe,” on Twitter Monday night, to the collective swoon of us all.

Yes, the woman who has soundtracked the love stories of so many of our lives; who seemingly never ages and whose voice never fades, has blessed us with her voice once again, as pure and longing and lovely as ever.

“Flower of the Universe” is one of six original songs to be featured in the $100 million-budget blockbuster directed by Ava DuVernay, who gave us the heads-up last month that Sade would be blessing us with her ethereal vocals.

Wrinkle promises to be a virtual girl-power fest with a black girl at its center. The soundtrack also features “Warrior,” by Grown-ish stars Chloe x Halle; “I Believe,” from Demi Lovato, featuring DJ Khaled; “Magic,” by Sia; and “Let Me Live,” from Kehlani.

A Wrinkle In Time and the film’s soundtrack will both be released Friday, March 9.
