Some people will call Azealia Banks problematic and even crazy, but in a recent interview with Hot 97, RZA had nothing but glowing words to say about the rapper when it comes to his upcoming movie, Love Beats Rhymes, in which she stars.

The movie’s official trailer was released this week, and it officially opens in limited release Dec. 1. The film stars Banks as Coco, a rapper trying to hone her skills who enrolls in a poetry class, where she tries to impress Professor Dixon (Jill Scott). Along with Banks and Scott, Common, Lucien Laviscount and Hana Mae Lee also star in the film.

In RZA’s interview with Hot 97, the radio hosts, of course, tried to hash up the old drama RZA and Banks had after the incident when she alleged that Russell Crowe had spat on her at a party hosted by RZA, but the rapper had nothing but good words for Banks, and Hot 97 host Ebro did admit that Banks’ talent is undeniable.

“As an actress, she showed up every day and delivered. Even the studio execs said she was good. She has a natural talent,” RZA said of Banks.
