The little sequel that could knocked a beloved sci-fi franchise out of the top spot at the box office this past weekend.

According to CNN, Ride Along 2, the follow-up to Ice Cube and Kevin Hart's movie about a cop and his wide-eyed brother-in-law who wants to be a cop, premiered this weekend, raking in $34 million and sashaying itself into the No. 1 spot as a result.

The movie bumped Star Wars: The Force Awakens out of the top spot, a position the film had been luxuriating in for the past four weeks. The Star Wars movie fell to No. 3, and The Revenant, the film in which Leonardo DiCaprio is apparently battling bears and Mother Nature, rose to the No. 2 spot.

This is a great look for Ice Cube, Hart and the movie's executive producer, Will Packer.
