Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Richie Incognito has claimed responsibility for the recent damage to his expensive sports car, telling authorities that he did the damage himself, the Los Angeles Times reports.

It was reported earlier that the $300,000 Ferrari that was bought just this November was vandalized with a baseball bat, damaging the grill and hood.

According to Scottsdale, Ariz., police Sgt. Mark Clark, Incognito owned up to smashing his car when the police contacted him Thursday, adding that no further details were available as no report was filed. Clark claimed that the police were no longer involved in investigating the incident.
