Sherri Shepherd’s estranged husband, Lamar Sally, will sue the talk show host if she doesn’t mother the child she is expecting via surrogate. Sally is attempting to legally force Shepherd to assume parental responsibilities and a relationship with the unborn child.
According to TMZ, Sally is drafting legal documents to force Shepherd to adhere to the contract she signed when they were still a couple. Shepherd doesn’t have any genetic connection to the unborn baby, which was conceived through in vitro fertilization with an egg donor and Sally’s sperm.
TMZ is reporting that Shepherd feels Sally defrauded her into having a child so he could get child support, even though he knew he was going to file for divorce. According to reports, Shepherd is hoping that the judge rules in her favor and removes her parental rights to the baby, due later this month.
