Pyer Moss’ rise continues. Following a nice bit of product placement from musician Anderson .Paak during last weekend’s Saturday Night Live performance, on Monday night, the label was awarded Collaboration of the Year for their ongoing partnership with Reebok at the Footwear News Achievement Awards, sponsored by Ruffino Wines.

The honor comes only a year after the collaboration kicked off, bringing designer Kerby Jean-Raymond and his socially conscious label to the attention of sneakerheads everywhere. Several sold-out drops later, the pairing has been honored with its first award.

If it seems like Jean-Raymond and Pyer Moss have been everywhere lately, it’s because the five-year-old label has had a major year. Aside from Reebok, the brand also had major moments with ‘90s fashion staple Cross Colours, and more recently with cognac aficionado Hennessy. Jean-Raymond was also crowned the 2018 winner of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund award, earning a $400,000 prize for his work with Pyer Moss. And in the meantime, the label has continued to be a celebrity favorite. Issa Rae, Tracee Ellis Ross, LaLa Anthony, Luke James, and the aforementioned Anderson .Paak have all made recent appearances in the brand, continuing to add to its cultural cred.

So, what’s next for Pyer Moss? 2019 will tell. But if their current trajectory is any indication, it’s all the way up.
