If there was ever a time for someone to run onto the playground and scream “girl fight,” last night’s Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion would have been one of those times. But there wasn’t a playground or “girls”—just a bunch of grown women going at it.
Although the infamous fight between Kendra Moore and Porsha Williams was reported weeks ago, viewers tuned in last night to see it firsthand. Moore, who was dressed in J. Mendel, seemed to come to the show armed and ready with a scepter. She made it a point to continually taunt her co-stars with the scepter by pointing it in their faces as they were speaking.
But Williams wasn’t having any of that.
At one point she took the scepter and threw it to the floor, which only caused Moore to bring out her next “weapon,” a bullhorn. Talk about being an antagonizer.
As the conversation between Moore and Williams began to heat up, with accusations of Moore being a bully and Moore making comments about Williams’ lack of intelligence, Williams went off. She called Moore a “slut from the ’90s” and made reference to men not wanting to “claim” Moore.
After Moore pulled out her bullhorn once again and called Williams a “dumb ho,” all hell broke loose on the set.
Fisticuffs and hair pulling in expensive designer gowns—the RHOA women definitely knew how to keep it classy. During the fight, which lasted for only a few seconds, Bravo’s Andy Cohen did his best version of acting shocked by yelling, “No, stop!”
After the show’s producers intervened, Williams exited stage left to regroup, while Moore yelled that Williams should be fired for attacking her. But of course she never mentions the fact that she was the instigator throughout the whole show.
Williams eventually made her way back to the set and explained why she lashed out: “I’ve literally taken so much from her for two years.” Cohen eventually dismissed Williams from the set and informed her that she would eventually need to apologize to Moore for the beat-down.
But an apology may be too late.
As of last Thursday, Moore filed charges against Williams. A warrant was issued against Williams, and she was charged with misdemeanor battery. Williams turned herself in the same day and was booked and released.
From last night’s Twitter reactions, it seems as though everyone is #TeamPorsha, but no one knows Williams’ fate on the show as of yet. Will she get the boot? Or will the producers of RHOA keep her?
