It looks like rapper Wiz Kalifa is following in the footsteps of Lil Wayne, at least when it comes to getting arrested for chronic-related crimes. The 22-year-old rapper, whose real name is Cameron Thomaz, was arrested early Tuesday morning, along with 10 others, when his tour bus was raided by East Carolina University police after officers smelled "a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the bus and the backstage area of the auditorium" where he'd performed, spokesperson John Durham said. Durham said the officers questioned Thomaz about the smell and asked to be allowed on his tour bus to look around. Thomaz, who is quite open about his frequent marijuana use, cooperated with the police and let them on the bus. Police found two ounces of marijuana, which is a small amount for someone who admitted in a recent interview to a $10,000-a-day habit. Did we mention that he recently released his own brand of rolling papers? Thomaz was charged with a felony count of trafficking in marijuana, a felony count of maintaining a dwelling/vehicle/place for sale or storage of marijuana, and one misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Thomaz and his manager each posted $300,000 bond. We guess he doesn't realize this isn't Cali. He will as soon as he goes straight to jail without passing go.
