Radio and television veteran Doug Banks has died at the age of 57. Although the cause of death hasn't been released, many have speculated that his death was due to diabetes complications.

The Philadelphia-born, Detroit-raised Banks got his start doing local radio but was soon hosting his own syndicated show, The Doug Banks Morning Show, which Banks hosted along with DeDe McGuire.

In 2010, Banks' show was relaunched on WVAZ in Chicago and could be heard in several different markets.
