The Root has been watching Harold Ford Jr.'s potential run for Senator of New York. While we're skeptical New Yorkers would tolerate his carpet-bagging, Hillary Clinton has done it before—and she's doing big things. Greg Sargent points out that it's really Ford's cultural conservatism that might turn off  voters in the big, blue state. Watch Ford explain his position on reproductive rights and abortion:

Obviously, Ford may have changed his position. He may feel differently or he may not. But, considering New York Dems, he'll need to square this up before making his run.
