When Prince showed interest and then made a request, it was obvious to the people behind Fox’s New Girl sitcom that they should oblige.
As the story goes, Prince was a fan of Zooey Deschanel’s show and made a phone call, and magically, he got an appearance on the show. Seriously, who’s going to turn down Prince? As the script was coming together for the show, a few other people had cameos, too. But they weren’t people Prince wanted to deal with. I mean, do you blame him? The Kardashians aren’t exactly everyone’s cup of dieter’s tea.
During an appearance on Conan, Deschanel said that Khloe and Mama Kardashian were supposed to have cameos, but that didn’t happen.
“Someone was friends with some of the Kardashians and had made a phone call, and they had kindly come on to shoot a kind of cameo part,” she said. “It turns out that someone from Prince’s camp said, ‘Who are the celebrities? I hope it’s not a Kardashian … ’ Which is sad because Khloe Kardashian and Kris Jenner had very kindly come in and shot the scene. I felt so bad ’cause obviously everyone had gone out of their way to be there on that day, but Prince was running the show.”
When Prince talked, the world listened.
