Daily Beast columnist Richard Wolffe's forthcoming book Renegade: The Making of a President outlines Obama's meteoric rise to power. In a recent excerpt provided to The Beast, Wolffe details showdowns with Hillary Clinton and Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Each is an interesting treatment of political wrangling and how Obama maneuvered his way to the top. While the encounter with Wright isn't altogether surprising, the showdown on the tarmac in which Hillary Clinton makes accusations while pointing fingers in Obama's face is pretty amusing. Not Charles Hamilton amusing, but still pretty good.
