Ain't no party like a White House party … well, that's been the case for the last eight years; I'm not quite sure what's going to happen during the next four. If you haven't had the privilege to attend one of the Obamas' White House soirees, well, you've definitely missed out, and if you're not a celebrity, you probably won't be able to attend the last one.
On Friday, President Barack Obama and the first lady will host some of their closest celebrity friends for their final White House party. According to a report from the Washington Post, the party will include Jay Z, Beyoncé, and Oprah. There was one celebrity who did confirm that he would be in attendance, as well:
"Old standbys such as singer Usher and actor Samuel L. Jackson will most likely be there, according to another person with knowledge of the invitees," the Post reported. "Also currently practicing their sweet moves are media titan Oprah Winfrey […] actor Bradley Cooper, who showed up to the French state dinner sans underpants; Beyoncé, who sang at both of Obama’s inaugurations, and her husband, rapper Jay Z, are both whispered to be performing. We’re also hearing that Stevie Wonder, who has performed at the White House, director J.J. Abrams and director George Lucas make the list."
The Obamas definitely know how to go out with a bang!
