Jerry Seinfeld scored the guest of a lifetime by getting President Barack Obama to appear in his Web series, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.
The premise of the show—which airs on Crackle—is a cool one: Comedians ride around in a vintage car with Seinfeld, talking about any and everything under the sun, and then they both sit down for coffee and more conversation afterward.
Obama's episode will air Dec. 30, and in it he's riding around with Seinfeld, according to CNN, sitting pretty in a silver-blue 1963 Corvette Stingray split-window coupe. And get this: They were riding around on White House grounds, each taking turns circling the White House driveway. It's an experience that Obama no doubt enjoyed, since he rarely gets the opportunity to sit behind the wheel of a car.
The experience kept getting better for Seinfeld because he and Obama had coffee in the staff dining room in the White House basement.
Seinfeld spoke to CNN about the experience.
"Growing up in the '60s, my kid dream was always to be an astronaut. Doing a comedy show with President Obama in and around the White House felt like going into space," Seinfeld said.
No word on whether this endeavor ties into any of Obama's initiatives or whether he's just letting it rip and doing what he wants to do as a lame duck.
