Imagine being nine months pregnant and enduring contractions, which can be stressful enough already. Now imagine you’ve decided to take a walk around your neighborhood to help move your labor along. Now imagine that while you’re strolling along with your other two kids, enjoying the weather, someone starts hurling racial slurs at you.

That is exactly what Mikea Eberhart went through over the weekend after deciding to take a walk in her Dearborn Heights, Mich., neighborhood between 8:30 and 9 a.m. Sunday. The sun was barely up and someone had already started with their shitty ways.

“I was walking up the street ... me and my two kids ... a truck pulls up and says, ‘Nigger, nigger, nigger,’” Eberhart told WJBK-TV.

The nurse and mother of three decided to pull out her cellphone and start recording to try to document the madness of what was happening. In the Facebook video, which has since been taken down, a woman can be heard cursing from the porch of a nearby home in what Eberhart says was “racial intimidation.”

“She was like, ‘Step on my grass, nigger. Go ahead, go ahead so I could shoot you,’” Eberhart recalled.

“Racism still exists, and it’s very serious and it’s right in your neighborhood,” she told the news station. “It’s very diverse here now ... for her to make that scene ... it was surprising to me ... because I never encountered something like that.”

Police said that the woman could be charged with ethnic intimidation, but that has not yet been set in stone, the news station notes.

“I want her prosecuted ... I’m going to press charges ... I want her in jail,” the mother added. “You threatened my kids. I don’t play about my kids.”
