Well! Look how the tables have turned. The lawyer representing over 100 plaintiffs in lawsuits against Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing a lawsuit himself. The allegations are shocking.
Tony Buzbee, a Houston-based attorney, is being sued by a Jane Doe who claims she was assaulted by the legal giant several years ago. TMZ reports the plaintiff was a former client of Buzbee who sought his legal representation for her divorce case.
Sources tell TMZ the two were in a public place when the alleged incident occurred. When Buzbee saw the woman, he allegedly went into a “fit of rage” and pushed a champagne flute into her face. She suffered a chipped tooth and other injuries as a result of the incident - which she says she has medical and dental records to support, the report says.
“Tony Buzbee is a hypocrite. There is nothing worse than when a black hat masquerades as a white hat,” said the plaintiff’s lawyer, Jeremy Bohrer, told TMZ,
In response, Buzbee denied the allegations calling them “ridiculously crazy” and suggested this lawsuit came from the same direction as the “public figure” who accused the attorney of extortion.
“That’s crazy fiction. Like really crazy. I would ask if the lawyer bringing this silly case is friends with a lawyer from the firm that brought the other case. All this will be exposed soon,” said Buzbee to TMZ. “We won’t be bullied or silenced by frivolous cases being filed against me or against my clients. All of this is false and I won’t tolerate defamation.”
Buzbee said in an Oct. 1 press conference that he’s representing 120 individuals — men and women — who claimed to have been drugged, sexually assaulted, raped or threatened by Combs. Some alleged victims claimed to be minors at the time of the incidents. Out of the pool, over a dozen anonymous plaintiffs have filed their lawsuits, per court records.
Many of the suits, filed since 2023, have been civil. However, Combs faces criminal charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and engaging in interstate transportation for prostitution in federal court. He has pleaded not guilty, and was denied bail. His trial is scheduled for May 2025.
