Phaedra Parks, the Southern-belle attorney who always has a side hustle, a side eye and plenty of shade, has been fired from The Real Housewives of Atlanta for spreading a vicious lie about castmate Kandi Burruss and her husband, Todd Tucker.
According to TMZ, Phaedra was let go because during the filming of the most recent season, she told Porsha Williams that Kandi and Todd had a plan to drug her (Porsha) and take her back to their house, where they were going to take advantage of her sexually. Kandi reportedly threatened Bravo if it aired the clip, so it was never shown.
During Sunday night’s finale of the four-part reunion for season 9, the truth came spilling out, with Phaedra being fingered as the source of the nasty rumor.
TMZ reports that Bravo was so outdone by the allegations against Phaedra, network officials decided that they could no longer work with her, and they informed her in early April that she would lose her peach and be ejected from the show.
One has to wonder why Phaedra, a lawyer, would involve herself in such a potentially libelous storyline, but if you are fighting to keep yourself relevant on a show that has for the most part dragged on for way too long with not much going on, maybe you resort to these types of tactics to stay in front of the camera.
