A Pennsylvania is man is facing multiple charges after allegedly screaming racial slurs at a woman and threatening to “shoot her brains out” after what police describe as a road rage incident that took place in July along state Route 999.
According to Manor Township police, Roger G. Chenault of Washington Boro is charged with ethnic intimidation, terrorist threats, simple assault and reckless driving in the July 8 case, the Lancaster Online reports.
The ever-so-charming Chenault, 57, is accused of passing an unidentified female motorist at a high speed before pulling in front of her and slamming on his brakes, according to the victim’s account.
He then repeatedly sped up and slammed the breaks in front of her car. When the woman tried to pass him, he blocked her path, a police report noted.
When the two vehicles eventually reached a stop sign, Chenault apparently got out of his car and threatened to punch the woman in her face as he yelled racial slurs at her. He also threatened to “shoot her brains out,” police say.
Chenault was only taken into custody over the weekend and is currently being held at Lancaster County Prison on $5,000 bail.
