Former First lady Michelle Obama unveiled the book cover for her upcoming and highly anticipated memoir, Becoming, on Instagram Thursday, stunning us with the cover photo for the book jacket, which was selected from a photo shoot done earlier this year in Washington, D.C., by renowned portrait photographer Miller Mobley.

Obama appeared to have been prepping for the reveal of her book cover, having shared four previously unpublished family photographs to highlight moments of her personal journey.

“I’m thrilled to share with all of you the cover for BECOMING. The process of writing this book has been so personally meaningful and illuminating for me. As I prepare to share BECOMING this fall, I hope you’ll also think about your own story, and trust that it will help you become whoever you aspire to be. Your story is what you have, what you will always have. It is something to own,” she wrote in the Instagram caption, revealing the stunning cover that shows her smiling visage.

The book explores the experiences that shaped her into the woman and first lady that Obama is today, going through her childhood on the South Side of Chicago to her years as an executive while balancing motherhood and work.

Becoming is scheduled to be published worldwide, in 25 languages, on Nov. 13. It will be released in the U.S. and Canada in print and digital formats by Crown Publishing Group, a division of Penguin Random House. There will also be an audio edition of the book, read by Obama.
