Two days after the election of Donald Trump, Oprah Winfrey spoke with the Associated Press and said that although she was in disbelief over Trump’s presidential win, she also said that after seeing Trump’s meeting with President Barack Obama, she remained optimistic.

She tweeted, "Everybody take a deep breath! Hope Lives!"

“I could sense, maybe I'm wrong, but I could sense from Donald Trump's body language even when he came out for the acceptance speech, that brotha has been humbled by this world thing,” she said Thursday. “I think it’s a humbling process that now you literally have the weight of the world on your shoulders.”

Winfrey also said that she didn’t think Trump’s election was a repudiation of Obama, but the voice of the frustration of millions of voters.

Well, maybe folks were still too raw and in their feelings, but there was a swift backlash against the media mogul.

One social media poster, though, thought it really interesting that this black woman was bearing the brunt of all this anger when “she is not Russian, she's not working with Comey, she's not a Bernie Bro, she did not vote for Trump, she did not vote 3rd party, she supported both Clinton and Obama, she is a successful woman of color so why the hate?”
