Oprah Filling in for Robin Roberts

On Thursday, Good Morning America host Robin Roberts began an extended medical leave to undergo treatment for MDS, a rare bone marrow disease. Viewers who miss the ABC morning staple her during her absence can count on seeing some familiar faces when she's gone — including Oprah Winfrey, the Huffington Post reports.

ABC News is drawing from its extensive stable for some of its guest hosts. Diane Sawyer, Amy Robach, Elisabeth Vargas, Katie Couric and Barbara Walters will all do stints.

But the network is also looking beyond the news division for the lighter portions of the show. Kelly Ripa, the cast of "Modern Family," Rob Lowe and Chris Rock will all pitch in.

No name stuck out as much as Oprah's, of course. Beyond her stardom, her hosting brings with it a healthy dose of morning-show competition, since her best friend, Gayle King, is one of the hosts of rival show "CBS This Morning."
