One of two suspects wanted for the North Carolina murder of a woman inside a Walmart turned himself into authorities. Although the investigation into the Dec. 20 shooting continues, police say they are still on the hunt for the suspected shooter.

According to the Lumberton Police Department (LPD), “the individuals responsible for the shooting targeted two people they knew, who were standing at the Woodforest Bank, inside of the Walmart Super Center.” The suspects then allegedly fired shots inside the Walmart, but the only person who was hit was a 42-year-old woman. Police say the victim, Brandy Nicole Olson, was not the intended target.

Police were called to the scene around 3:45 p.m. and found Olson suffering from gunshot wounds, according to PEOPLE. The statement also said bystanders attempted life saving measures on the woman. Eventually, Olson was taken to a local hospital where she died from her injuries.

The two suspects then fled the scene after the shooting, according to LPD. It is unclear how authorities identified two juveniles as the culprits. But on Dec. 23, just three days after the shooting, police issued warrants for the arrest of 17-year-old Ezekiel Burden and 18-year-old Brian Campbell.
