An Oklahoma City woman walked up to the counter at a Subway restaurant, pulled out a rifle and demanded that the cashier give her cash. But before the robber left, she turned around and placed a $1 bill in the employee tip jar, telling the cashier, “That’s for you,” ABC 7 News reports. The report does not indicate what day the crime took place.
According to police, it was the second time the suspect had robbed the Subway location.
The cashier told police the suspect walked up to the counter nonchalantly, as if she were about to place an order, and then initiated the robbery. The cashier immediately did as she was told and was stunned by the robber’s “bizarre” gesture of kindness, the news station reports.
The Subway clerk quit her job shortly after the incident.
