Her husband, Shannon Kepler, also a Tulsa police officer, was still in prison facing murder charges in the death of 19-year-old Jeremy Lake. Lake was reportedly walking with the couple’s 18-year-old daughter, Lisa Kepler,, when the older man approached them in a car and seemingly inexplicably fired at the young man, killing him. Lisa Kepler claimed that her father fired at her as well.

The youngest Kepler had just been kicked out of her house by her parents about a week ago, and met Lake at a homeless shelter.
