A 24-year-old cop went berserk on a New York City couple after they got into a car accident with him this week.
“Don’t you know who the fuck I am?” Officer Michael Baror screamed after he rear-ended 28-year-old James Nacimas’ vehicle in Brooklyn on Monday night.
“I’m NYPD! You don’t fuck with the NYPD.”
After the fender bender, the New York Daily News reports, Baror jumped out of his black Jeep Cherokee (which inexplicably had its sirens and lights on) with his gun out, screaming. He then allegedly beat Nacimas with his metal handcuffs (or gun—the headline of the article says he “pistol-whips” the driver), forcing the 28-year-old to have to get at least 10 stitches in his mouth.
Baror also allegedly punched Nacimas’ girlfriend, Jaclyn Araiza, 27, before taking off in the Jeep, running several red lights and veering into oncoming traffic at speeds of over 65 mph, according to video records.
Although Nacimas chased him and called 911, Baror got away and was arrested the next day.
The three-year New York City Police Department veteran is charged with assault, illegal weapon possession for the unauthorized use of his gun, reckless endangerment, menacing and leaving the scene of an accident.
Bail was set at $15,000, and Baror was suspended without pay.
