The Jews are keeping Rev. Jeremiah Wright from talking to President Obama.
At least, that's what he told reporters this week following Hampton University's 95th Annual Ministers' Conference reports BET. Wright said:
"Them Jews ain't going to let him talk to me. I told my baby daughter that he'll talk to me in five years when he's a lame duck, or in eight years when he's out of office…They will not let him to talk to somebody who calls a spade what it is. … I said from the beginning: He's a politician; I'm a pastor. He's got to do what politicians do…Ethnic cleansing is going on in Gaza. Ethnic cleansing (by) the Zionist is a sin and a crime against humanity, and they don't want Barack talking like that because that's anti-Israel," Wright said."
A note to Reverend Wright: While you make some points worth taking up, critiquing and considering. Israel is not a blameless victim on the world stage in the same way Palestine is not blameless. Should more attention be paid to the complexity, on both sides, of the situation in Gaza? Absolutely. But when you bracket your opinions with "them Jews", it's pretty much gonna go over like a lead balloon.
Name names. Granted, naming only Jewish names is suspect, but, in comparison to the broad strokes approach, it's entirely more useful than blaming anyone who celebrates Hannukah.
