President Obama is known for having game. Apparently, being chief executive means nothing when you play a friendly basketball game with your friends. The president took an elbow to the lip from another player during a Friday-morning pickup game that required 12 stitches, according to news reports. The president got his stitches under local anesthesia at the White House after returning from Fort McNair. Apparently it was a full-court five-on-five game that also involved Reggie Love, his personal assistant, who played at Duke.
Press Secretary Robert Gibbs told the press about three hours after the incident. However, he refused to snitch on whose elbow took the president out of his game.
UPDATE:  Late Friday, administration officials issued a statement from Rey Decerega, the director of programs for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, who injured Obama in the last of five five-on-five games. "I learned today the president is both a tough competitor and a good sport. I enjoyed playing basketball with him this morning," Decerega said. "I'm sure he'll be back out on the court again soon."
