In the flurry of fashion shows occurring during New York Fashion Week, one major presentation flew entirely under our radar: While we thought his focus was solely on menswear this season, Romeo Hunte returned to the runway with a Spring-Summer ‘19 womenswear on Sept. 9.

Incorporating the Brooklyn, NY-born Hunte’s now trademark uses of buffalo check and fur with black denim and custom neoprene in a palette of neons, royal blue, berry, gray and black, his Spring-Summer ‘19 collection also included a timely touch, in the form of a new collaboration with Swiss watchmaker Rado. Hunte’s looks were accessorized with watches from the True and True Thinline Collections in white and black high-tech ceramic, and the HyperChrome collection.

“We are thrilled to partner with Romeo Hunte and see Rado’s pioneering watches presented alongside his latest collection. We believe this partnership highlights our shared dedication to innovative design and materials.” said Rado CEO Matthias Breschan, via pore.

Hunte, who launched his eponymous line in 2014, has designed looks worn by Beyoncé, Laverne Cox and Keke Palmer, among others. Of the new collaboration, he said:

“Our SS19 collection expresses the working fashionable woman that can transition from work to social life and Rado beautifully complements the aesthetic with a touch of glamour.”
