Willy Montilla, 41, was knocked unconscious and later died after being punched three times in the chest by a man Monday morning in the Bronx, N.Y., the New York Daily News reports.
At about 9:45 a.m. in the Parkchester section of the New York City borough, Montilla was attacked by a man who hit him three times in the chest, authorities said, sending Montilla to the ground, before the suspect proceeded to kick Montilla twice in the head.
According to the Daily News, Montilla tried to get to his feet and hail a cab, but a cab driver mistook him for a drunken man and refused to take him.
Montilla died at Jacobi Medical Center after being taken there by emergency personnel. It's still unclear whether or not the beating was the cause of his death.
Police have released a photo of a man they say they seek for questioning in the assault. He's described as being 25-35 years old, standing between 5 feet 7 and 6 feet tall.
