Corey Green, 32, was playing cards with friends in his Brooklyn, N.Y., apartment on Saturday when police officers busted his door in looking for a robbery suspect, his dad, John Green, 52, told the New York Post.
John Green claims that the police made all the men leave their card game for an impromptu lineup outside their Bedford-Stuyvesant apartment building. The victim was in the backseat of a patrol car waiting to identify the robber.
John Green told the newspaper that while cops were collecting identification from the men, Corey Green, who had a warrant for drunk driving, began walking away.
That is when, John Green claims, police threw the father of two to the ground and began kicking him in the groin. The elder Green told the newspaper that his son had to have emergency surgery to remove one of his testicles.
"They stomped his testicles into his stomach," John Green told the Post.
A police spokesperson told the Post that Corey Green injured himself when he collided with a scaffold trying to run from the police. The Post reports that the New York City Police Department's Internal Affairs Bureau is investigating the matter.
