Nike stood by Tiger Woods when other advertisers pulled out amid reports of serial cheating and marital drama. Now the brand is trying to rehabilitate Woods' image in a 30-second commercial that simply shows his face while his father's voice is heard from beyond the grave. Although Earl Woods died in 2006, the viewer is invited to imagine that commentary such as, "I want to find out what your thinking was. I want to find out what your feelings are. And did you learn anything," refers to the situation at hand.
