Nicki Minaj, who recently "endorsed" GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney in song lyrics ("I'm a Republican voting for Mitt Romney/You lazy b—ches is f—king up the economy") made some revealing statements in a recent interview with Rolling Stone that sounded more sincere and will likely be taken much more seriously than her political views.

"When I first came to America," Nicki Minaj said, "I would go in my room and kneel down at the foot of my bed and pray that God would make me rich so that I could take care of my mother."

Why? Because, she says, her father was a violent drug addict who once set their house on fire while her mother was inside. And she's not concerned about the consequences about telling that story publicly. "It's the price you pay when you abuse drugs and alcohol," Minaj explained. "Maybe one day your daughter will be famous and talk to every magazine about it, so think about that, dads out there who want to be crazy."

She also retracted her early-career assertions that she was bisexual. That, she says, was simply to get attention. "I think girls are sexy," she admitted, "but I'm not going to lie and say that I date girls."
