Nicki Minaj had a few things to get off her chest during Sunday night’s MTV Video Music Awards, and her attention was not only focused on grabbing her award for Best Hip-Hop Video; she also made it a point to address VMA host Miley Cyrus.

Last week, during a press interview with the New York Times, Cyrus was asked about the brouhaha Minaj made over a recent Twitter rant, when the rapper suggested that white artists were rewarded for appropriating black culture. And it wasn’t as if she told any lies. But to the average white artist, like Taylor Swift, who felt the need to defend herself even though no one was even talking about her, Cyrus had no clue as to the actual context of Minaj’s ire.

Cyrus said that she felt Minaj had not been “very polite” and that she had “made it about [herself].”

After she thanked God, she looked over toward stage right and gave Cyrus a piece of her mind.

“Back to this bitch who had a lot to say about me the other day in the press,” she said, with an expression that indicated this wasn’t just a publicity ploy. “Miley, what’s good?”

A shocked Cyrus tried to play off the fact that Minaj had just called her out in front of millions.

“We all do interviews and we all know how they manipulate,” Cyrus said, throwing in a sarcastic “Congratuf—kinglations.”

Many people thought the confrontation was staged, but according to MTV, it definitely wasn’t something the network concocted.

In any event, maybe this will teach Cyrus to keep her appropriating ass out of other people’s business. Because when people from South Jamaica, Queens, ask, “What’s good?” they’re not talking about the weather or how you’re feeling.
