Nick Gordon, Bobbi Kristina Brown's ex-boyfriend, has been found liable in her death and now has been ordered to pay $36 million to her estate.
During the hearing, for which Gordon was a no-show, Bobbi Kristina’s dad, Bobby Brown, spoke about his daughter's earning potential due to her talents, and the judge factored that into the settlement.
“She was an entertainer. If you were around her, all you would do was laugh. She told a lot of jokes. She was always the life of the party … and anywhere she went,” Brown said Thursday on the stand. “I know she had the talent to be successful."
Now, we all know Gordon wasn't a millionaire, and he didn't seem to have a job during his relationship with Bobbi Kristina, so it'll be interesting to see how the estate manages to get him to pay up.
In a statement to People, a relative said that Gordon more than likely would file for bankruptcy.
“That will probably be his next step, but I don’t think he’s thinking straight right now. He is still in mourning for Krissi," the relative said. "This isn’t going to bring her back, no matter what they think. They need to look into themselves to see what part everybody played in this, not just Nick. Everybody needs a lot of prayer.”
