NFL wide receiver Tyreek Hill has been catching touchdowns on the field and allegedly breaking legs off of it. The star Miami Dolphins player is being sued by a model/social media influencer who claims that he broke her leg.
While the details surrounding the lawsuit are just coming out now, the incident allegedly occurred nearly eight months ago back in June 2023. Model Sophie Hall and Hill were allegedly practicing some type of football drill when things got too rough and Hall was hurt. Now she is reportedly seeking up to $75,000 in damages, according to the Miami Herald.
While Hall might not be considered an A-list celebrity, she does have nearly two million followers across all of her social media accounts, including Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok.
So how did a star NFL and a social media influencer get to the point where they were doing football drills together?
According to the Miami Herald, Hill and Hall met after she bought a ticket for her son to attend the All-Pro receiver’s football camp in Boca Raton, Florida. Allegedly, Hill went out of his way to message Hall on Instagram shortly after she registered her son, telling her that he wanted to meet up.
The two continued to stay in contact on social media. The lawsuit claims that Hill suggested that Hall should come to his Florida home a day before the camp so they could hang out and get to know each other. Then, after exchanging cell phone numbers, the “Cheetah” allegedly purchased a plane ticket for the model to spend a couple of days with him in June.
More from the Miami Herald:
The first day at his home, she participated in offensive line drills with Hill and his trainer. Hall followed Hill’s instructions as they ran through the drills. At one point, she caused Hill to be pushed backward, “garnering laughter from the witnesses present at the time, including [Hill’s] mother, sister, friend and trainer,” according to the suit.
The Dolphins star’s demeanor suddenly shifted and he grew irate, the court documents say, adding that during one of the plays, Hill charged into the woman “violently and with great force.”
“Tyreek became enraged, and forcefully and purposefully shoved Ms. Hall, severely fracturing her leg, requiring surgery with orthopedic reconstruction and hardware implantation,” the lawsuit claims.
Despite the pain she was in, Hall claims that Hill did not take her injuries seriously and that he simply told her to rest and ice it, according to the Miami Herald.
She claims that less than a month later, she went to a doctor and was told that her leg was fractured.
While shocking, this isn’t the first time Hill has been accused of assaulting a woman. In 2015, a year before he was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs, Hill pleaded guilty to domestic assault and battery by strangulation after he assaulted his pregnant fianceé. While he served no jail time, he did receive three years probation.
