The police report, obtained by the New York Daily News, describing how Warren Sapp allegedly stepped on his girlfriend's face during an assault is a horrific read.
The NFL Hall of Famer Warren Sapp is being charged with three counts of domestic violence in connection with the alleged assault April 28 at a Las Vegas hotel.
The incident allegedly started at the resort pool, where Sapp is said to have thrown a drink in the face of his girlfriend Chalyce Moore. Police say they watched surveillance video from the resort that shows Sapp yanking on Moore's arms so hard that she briefly lost her balance.
Moore and Sapp then left the hotel, and on their way back to a condo, Sapp bit Moore's middle finger during an argument, according to the report. At the condo, the assault allegedly continued, with Moore throwing a belt at Sapp. Moore then fell on the ground, and that's when Sapp allegedly stepped on her face, according to the report. Moore believes she suffered a concussion.
Sapp is expected to appear in court July 23 to answer to these charges.
In February, Sapp was arrested for assault and soliciting a prostitute and was suspended from his NFL analyst gig as a result. Those charges were dropped in May.
